Shipping Policy
*EFFECTIVE NOVEMBER 1,2012: Shipping prices are based on shipping through United Airlines Petsafe. Their Petsafe program does not fly into all airports. If they do not fly into your airport and we have to use Delta Airlines there will be an additional charge. Once you place your order we will contact you if they if this is the case.
We will ship birds within the continental US only. We guarantee live delivery only if shipped via Delta Airlines or United Petsafe. If a bird does not arrive alive, BirdProduct.com must be notified within 24 hours of receipt of shipment. Must send picture of dead bird and it will be replaced. All sales are final. BirdProduct.com will not be held responsible for problems not apparent at time of shipping or consequential damages.
Shipping via USPS is another option however LIVE DELIVERY NOT GUARANTEED. Max 10 small birds or 2 large birds. Includes USPS approved live bird shipping box. Takes one to two days.
** If you are purchasing birds, you will need to add the appropriate Bird Shipping Box to your Shopping Cart before checking out.
In order that you may complete your bird order online, without having to call and speak to a representative, we have created a system that assigns a point value to each bird (or bird pair, if a certain species is only sold as a pair) that we have. The total shipping cost for your bird order is based on the total of the Shipping Points for the birds you have ordered. For example, if you can see in your shopping cart that you have ordered a pair of Paradise Tanagers, which counts as 4 Shipping Points, and you have also ordered one Violet Turaco, which counts as 10 Shipping Points, your total of Shipping Points is 14 and you need to add the 1-20 Points Shipping Box to your order. If you add one more Violet Turaco to your order, at 10 more Shipping Points, your order will total 24 shipping points and you need to add the 21-40 Shipping Points Box to your order. *Once you place a bird in your shopping cart, the number of Shipping Points it counts as will show in your Cart.
* Shipping costs for products other than live animals are calculated on a real-time basis, depending on the distance shipped and the type of shipping you choose.
